Click ,Unclick and No Opinion
Comment 3: If I click something, but then decide that I don't want to answer that question, it doesn't let me un-click it. This could be solved with the "no opinion" option. a lot of the yes or no questions that are required should have a "no opinion" answer.
Response 3: I ran into this unclick issue myself. I think that's why one person said they are an Asatru. Can't seem to figure out a solution for this as it is built in. So I added a bunch of additional no opinions, don't knows, etc... throughout. These options have been used by follow on users.
Problem with Sin
Comment 17: The question on what constitutes a sin does not accept more than one answer as indicated.
Response 17: Fixed
Where is the Wrath of God?
A second section on the wrath of God was missing in the survey. Should show up now who up as the logic is now fixed.
Christianity
Comment 1: Allow some of us familiar with Christianity, the dominating religion in the United States, yet who do not consider themselves to be Christian, to comment on its various aspects. Some of this may prove insightful (and some maybe just abusive, let's hope not).
Response 1: I think the 2nd survey, Christianity and the Bible give you a shot at this request.
Comment 4: The question about what religion I am associated with has some of the protestant groups, but not others. I think you should either have Christianity as the umbrella that it is, or have Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox. But I don't think it is fair to have some domination and not others.
Response 4: What you described is my goal. There is a problem here I'm not quite sure how to handle. For every seemingly Protestant sect on the religious list there appear to be a hot debate on whether they are Christians or not. This goes for Mormons, Latter Day Saints, and Jehovah's Witnesses as well. I thought these guys were Christians but I have discussed this with some others and find they adamantly thought the exact opposite. The Internet is all over this fight. So my cop out is to not take sides and rather let the respondents address the problem.
Afterlife questions
Comment 2: "The afterlife question should be more nuanced. This is also the case with reincarnation. For example, another body implies that one necessarily re-manifests as a human, not a given in many belief systems."
Response 2: I completely revised the afterlife section. This includes new questions with more detail. I received an additional question regarding the new question which states "Not another life after death" being confusing. That question has been revised.
Missing People
Comment 5: Add Lazarus - Done
Comment 6: Add Noah - He was in there - must have floated off - Done
Comment 7: Add Nichiren Daishonen - religious leaders - Done
Homosexuality
Comment 8: You also mentioned I did not cover homosexuality and the bible well.
Response 8: I agree. I will leave the question as in this survey but will revisit it in another planned survey regarding societal beliefs.
Forgiveness Alternatives
Comment 9: There should be a forgiveness alternative that says all sins are forgiven.
Response 9: Added
Typos
Comment 10: Fix Typos - done I think but no way really - not my strength
Are these religions?
Comment: 11: Should Scientology really be a religious choice?
Comment 11: L. Ron Hubbard declared ti such and Wikipedia agrees. I’m going with Wikipedia on this one.
Comment 12: Roman Catholic seems different than Christianity but that's maybe just me
Comment 12: Roman Catholicism is the largest single sect of Christianity with over 1 Billion members.
Comment 13: Can you add Shamanism as a religion.
Response 13: Added
What is religion?
Comment 15: Hard to answer questions about "religion". How do you define religion?
Response 15: I don’t want to speculate on what people believe religion is but I will add the Wikipedia definition at the top of the religion section. Maybe that will help people get their heads around Satanism being on the religion list.
Jerry Springer
Comment 14: Survey Idea: That people on Jerry Springer really exist?
Response 14: Truly a deep and interesting question. I think they may be some kind of footage of a bad dream.
Favored Religion Options
Comment 16: I don't think "god" favors ONE religion, but there might be favoritism for a group of religions and disfavor with some.
Response 16: I’ll take a crack at throwing this option under the favored religion question.
